When you volunteer, you are not paid in money or recognition, you are paid in love.
People may forget what you said, and people may forget what you did, but
they will never forget how it made them feel.

With your support and help we can help people diagnosed with cancer, live longer, live better

The Nag Foundation has been fortunate in that it has special relationships with all sectors of the community. Corporates, individuals and groups support us in a variety of ways including sponsorships, fundraising and promoting the cause and spreading the message. Join hands with us to make a bigger impact.

I feel privileged and honoured to have had the opportunity to be one of the sponsors of the Breast Cancer Survivors Conference. The fact that it has reached so many survivors and set a new benchmark in Cancer Care and support is a matter of great pride. The cause is worthy, the effort is stupendous, the passion is visible and the results are effective. Congratulations to The Nag Foundation!

Mothers' Day Celebrations
9th May at The Hotel Deccan Rendezvous
The Mothers Day Support Group on Saturday 9th May was held at The Hotel Deccan Rendezvous Our support Groups are about information, motivation and entertainment all rolled into a pretty package rounded of by tasty snacks.

About 40 women along with support staff, counsellors and the team began by playing an interesting game of " Who am I" Standing in a circle, each one introduced themselves by saying their name and visually showing their hobby by making the appropriate gestures. They also had to remember what the previous women on their left had said so it was also a memory game!

Next , Justine Bhatt, renowned dance choreographer conducted her dance class where we all moved and shook to Bollywood tunes from Shahruh Khans famous " arms wide open" pose to The naughty hip movements of " Badtameez Dil"
It was now gossip over snack time! Sandwiches, samosas, tea, coffee and juices.
After the refreshments there was an open forum with Dr. Nag, where questions related to treatments, diet, long term side effects, genetics etc, were asked and answered. Most of them talked about the hormonal therapies, post chemo problems that persisted and the fear of relapse. A lot of them had not come in for follow up check ups and we addressed this. We also talked about genetic testing and its relevance and whether their daughters were at risk

Dr Pranjali then made a presentation on life after cancer - the tests required - the symptoms to watch out for, how to deal with people and their curiosity and what basically is the 'new normal.'

So ended this support group, eager to return for more.....
