Patient Aid

Cancer patients and survivors, both require intensive care to ensure their mental and physical well-being. Cancer has the tendency to overshadow one’s priorities and take over their life. Nag Foundation is focused on treatment as well as rehabilitation, creating an inclusive space for all your needs.

General Fund

High mortality due to late diagnosis, lack of finance for primary treatment, financial drains halfway through treatment. At the Nag Foundation, we provide financial assistance to patients at all stages, from diagnosis to radiation giving patients a better chance of quality living.


Herceptin fund
  • 1 out of 5 women diagnosed with breast cancer can benefit from Herceptin, a drug that reduces the chance of relapse by more than half. An antibody that targets the tumour cell directly, Herceptin provides an alternative to chemotherapy.
  • However, the cost of a year long treatment adds up to Rs. 9-10 lakhs, an amount unaffordable by many. At Nag Foundation we have made it our mission to make Herceptin more accessible.
  • A lesser known fact about Herceptin is that even 3 months of treatment can create almost equal benefits for the patient allowing costs to drastically reduce to Rs. 2-2.5 lakhs . With Herceptin being produced by Indian pharmaceuticals now, the cost can be further brought down to 1.5 lakhs.
  • The Herceptin Fund aims to bring together a community of givers who want to actively participate in making cancer treatment more accessible. The funds we collect are used to purchase and distribute Herceptin to Breast Cancer patients who are in dire need of it but are unable to purchase it.
Growth fund
  • The Growth Fund was created with the intention of making Cancer Growth Blocker Therapy more affordable and accessible.
  • Cancer growth blockers, also known as cancer growth inhibitors are a type of biological therapy which try to stop cancer cells growing. This type of treatment works by blocking the signalling process that cancer cells use to trigger further division and growth.
  • Cancer cells are often very sensitive to growth factors. So blocking them can stop some types of cancer from growing and dividing.
  • At Nag Foundation, we are constantly trying to identify and encourage ways to reduce patient difficulty and pain. Growth blockers provide an obvious and easily administered solution. The Growth Fund is one of our primary contribution to the Cancer community, and we are striving to make it accessible to as many patients and families as possible.
